2022 | VANCOUVER CANUCKS | Diwali inspired logo for the Vancouver Canucks Community warm-up Jersey program
The Canucks work with local artists to develop crests and patches on jerseys for their players to wear on ice during warmup for specific games throughout the season. The artwork also gets developed into a retail program, and the game presentation for the evening, with jersey auction and retail profits benefitting a local community with ties back to that community. This year a portion of the profits will go to Guru Nanak’s Free Kitchen, a non-profit that has been providing nourishment to residents of the Downtown Eastside, and other areas of the Lower Mainland since 2006 under the principles of Guru Nanak, Love All Feed All.

2021 | PETER WALL INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA | Illustration
Chromatic: Ten Meditations on Crisis in Art and Letters is a collection of essays and illustrations as diverse as the subject of crisis itself. Imagined and brought to life by the 2020 Wall Scholars during their time at the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at UBC, Chromatic asks what it means to be in crisis and grapples with the personal and societal impacts of crisis during a time of unprecedented global upheaval.
The result is a book that juxtaposes gorgeous, colourful illustrations with writing that will surprise and challenge you, outrage and enlighten you. From a precise discussion of a nuclear crisis in Japan, to a satirical listicle about corporate academia, to an ICU doctor’s poetic response to COVID-19, each contributor to this diverse collection takes a profoundly different approach to writing about crisis, yet fascinating and unexpected connections emerge.
2020 | MORRIS J. WOSK CENTRE FOR DIALOGUE, SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY | Illustration {DOWNLOAD FULL DOCUMENT}
Inclusion is integral to ethical and effective public engagement. Hearing from people with diverse lived experiences leads to more innovative ideas, better decisions and stronger democracies. However, many groups of people remain under-represented in engagement processes due to systemic barriers and inequities.
Simon Fraser University’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue developed the Beyond Inclusion guide through a participatory research and consultation process from 2019-2020 involving community members, engagement practitioners, and representatives from governments and civil society. While we began with a framework of inclusion, participants emphasized the importance of equity—building reciprocal relationships and sharing power with communities to co-create accessible and meaningful engagement processes.
